Terms & Conditions

  1. The Competition & Eligibility - The 'Greedy Little Elf: Recycled' online game Competition ("the Competition") is operated by Lightmaker UK Ltd and is open to representatives of actual or proposed businesses whose trading address is in the UK. Competition entry is not open to i) employees of Lightmaker Group or its subsidiaries, ii) anyone directly connected with the operation of the competition; or iii) businesses (or business ideas) who cannot be accepted by Lightmaker as customers because in the opinion of Lightmaker they pose either a compliance or reputational risk.   2. Competition dates - The Competition shall open on Tuesday 13th December 2011. The Competition shall close at Midnight on the 31st December 2011. All entries must be received before the closing date and any entries received afterwards will not be considered. Lightmaker will not accept responsibility for entries that are not received or any entries that are corrupt, damaged, lost or inaccessible to Lightmaker.
  3. Entrant requirements - Entrants require internet access to enter the Competition. Entrants must also register their details to enter - Lightmaker will not charge for entry into the Competition, however entrants may incur charges for internet access. Any such associated costs are the sole responsibility of each entrant. By entering, all entrants and prize winners consent to Lightmaker's use of the information requested in the registration form in relation to this Competition.
  4. How to enter - Click the hyperlink provided in the email to view the game, the onscreen instructions and being playing. To submit your score, complete the registration form by providing all requested information. The registration form is mandatory for entry to the Competition.
  5. Competition rules - Entrants may play the Competition as many times as they wish. Subject to all other Entrant Requirements being satisfied (as stated in point 3. Above), playing the Competition and achieving a final score shall render the Entrant eligible for a chance to win the prize. Entrant scores will appear on the game leaderboard with the entrants' chosen three letter initials visible to the public. Lightmaker reserves the right to remove entries using obscene or offensive initials. All communication regarding the Competition will be addressed to entrant, who Lightmaker will assume is empowered to act and respond on behalf of the business entering. Any attempt by an individual to access the Competition via a bot script (a programme that creates automatic entries or votes) or other brute force attack or any other unauthorized means will result in the IP address becoming ineligible and any entrant connected with any individual attempting such unauthorised access will be disqualified from the Competition. Use of automated entry devices or programs is prohibited.
  6. The Prize & the Winners - The prize is as notified by Lightmaker to the entrant when entering the Competition. The Winners will be decided at Lightmaker's discretion. All winners will be notified by January 06th 2012 by telephone or email as per the details given when entering the Competition. The Winners are responsible for ensuring they are able to accept the prize. This includes, for example, arranging to give up their own time, providing valid and up-to-date contact details and complying with these Terms and Conditions and/or reasonable instructions from Lightmaker. There is no alternative to the prize stated. The prize is not transferable and no part of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions. The services and products included as the prize will be provided at Lightmaker's discretion to Lightmaker's schedule, and the Winners will be kept informed of progress towards delivery of the prize, at regular intervals. Lightmaker may choose at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the prize if it considers that the Competition is no longer capable of being conducted as specified. Lightmaker can also substitute a prize of equal value if this is unavoidable due to circumstances beyond Lightmaker's reasonable control. If Lightmaker has reasonable cause to believe that the Competition has been compromised in any way, it reserves the right to cancel the Competition outright, or declare individual entries invalid.
  7. Data Protection - Any personal information provided by the entrants will be used by Lightmaker for the purposes of the Competition: to enable it to contact the entrant, process the entries, award the prizes, announce the winners, promote and advertise the Competition or as otherwise set out in these Terms and Conditions. Submitted company details and email addresses will be added to Lightmaker's database and will be used to inform entrants of products, services and latest news which Lightmaker believe will be of interest. If entrants do not wish to receive this information, entrants should click the opt-out link sent with the Competition email. Lightmaker are registered under the Data Protection Act.   8. Miscellaneous - By entering the Competition, all entrants accept and agree to comply with the Terms and Conditions of this Competition and reasonable instructions from Lightmaker. Entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified. Lightmaker reserves the right to exclude entrants and withhold or request return of prizes for violation of these Terms and Conditions. Lightmaker has the absolute discretion to make decisions about the Competition without giving reasons for its decision and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries that are regarded as defamatory, malicious, offensive or involve a breach of copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights will not be permitted. Each entrant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Lightmaker and their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders and employees from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions, or any liability of any kind resulting from or arising from any Competition entry which is in breach of this condition. Lightmaker will not be liable for any loss or damage arising out this Competition, except in the case of death or personal injury caused by the acts or omissions of Lightmaker. Entrants agree that this Competition is governed, interpreted and enforced by the laws of England and Wales, and by participating all entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
